Parents in Action for Education

In our schools, not all students are equal. Too many students experience failure or drop out, and face discrimination and several other forms of injustice. Continuing to ignore inequalities, giving up, or pointing fingers simply contribute to violating the rights of children.

We are parents of various backgrounds who are determined to not allow our actions to be dictated by others when it comes to our children’s education and schools. We have come to understand that working as a group, parents will better succeed in participating in the improvement of the school system. We have established Parents in Action for Education in order to take our rightful place beside other parents in our public schools.

This site seeks to be a meeting place where ideas can be exchanged around Parents in Action for Education’s vision and proposals for greater social justice. We welcome your ideas on how to make this site more accessible and useful to families, neighbourhoods and schools.
